"This is Ansty." We are very proud to release our Ansty Ladies CC  Promotional Video! We hope you enjoy! #tfbtfa Music by Marcus Neely https://soundcloud.com/musicbymarcus  Thank you to Mark Peacock and Mark Hallam for providing us with the fantastic action-photos and aerial footage. Dave Burt

Ladies Coach / Manager

Formally   Chairman   and   head   of   colts   at Crawley   CC,   I   have   been   at   Ansty   since my   daughter   moved   to   the   club   many years    ago.    A    passionate    believer    in women’s   sport   and   doing   all   I   can   to make   sure   we   give   our   ladies   and   girls the cricket they need and deserve! Amazed   at   what   we   have   achieved   as   a club   through   playing   for   each   other   and wanting   all   our   team   mates   to   do   well! Like   to   take   the   credit   for   some   of   this but   its   all   down   to   the   ladies!!   Working towards    the    day    when    ladies    &    girls cricket is run fully by women!

Sofie Cawley

1st XI Captain

Sofie   joined   the   club   as   a   colt   and   has played   through   all   the   boys   age-group cricket,    and    for    the    men’s    teams    on Saturdays.    After    taking    a    sabbatical    I managed   to   get   her   to   come   back   to   us and    play    ladies    cricket    for    us!!    As    a bonus   I   also   persuaded   her   to   take   her level   II   and   she   is   now   one   of   my   four level   II   lady   coaches.   Sofie   took   over   as ladies    1st    XI    captain    this    season    and took to it like a duck to water!

Julia Jarvis

Ladies T20 Captain

Julia   has   been   playing   for   us   now   for   a few    years.    She    loves    her    cricket    and possesses    a    very    competitive    streak! We    have    managed    to,    after    years    of trying,   calm   this   down.   She   is   the   ideal woman   to   lead   our   development   side, blooding   new   players   and   encouraging the   younger   players!   This   team   is   about fun    and    enjoyment    full    stop!    Also    a qualified    umpire    who    helps    out    the club whenever needed!

Meet the Team

My firm belief is that we work together as a team to provide our members with the cricket that they need.

Want to join Ansty Ladies?

If you   are   interested   in   joining   us   please   feel   free   to   get   in   touch. We   always   recommend   new   players   come   training   first   to   see   if   they   like   us   as   a club.   We   do   things   a   bit   different   from   many   other   clubs,   our   ethos   was   when   we   started,   and   remains   today,   to   involve   as   many   players   as   we can   in   as   many   games   as   we   can,   many   told   me   this   wouldn’t   work,   but   recent   history   tells   me   it   does!   All   our   players   have   a   part   to   play   in providing   teas   in   all   our   home   games,   and   we   encourage   all   our   members   to   play   men’s   cricket   on   a   Saturday.   We   are   also   very   proud   to   have our colts run and coached by lady coaches who are also players at the club. We run two ladies teams Sunday 1st XI - Playing in the Women’s Cricket Southern League Premier Division T20 Development Side Sundays   are   for   those   with   a   more   competitive   spirit,   but   the   ladies   T20   Development   puts   those   new   to   cricket   together   with   many   of   our promising and talented colts, as well as those who want to play in a fun environment, so we have all bases covered. What it comes down to if you want to join us is making sure that you will be happy with us, and we can offer you the cricket you need!!
